Page One

There is a weight that hangs on me, a Quest.
There is no walking away from that responsibility, even here where the old hulks stand majestic.
I cannot hide behind their regal, rusted facades.
I cannot ignore the path they have beaten across the present and toward the future.
They carved a niche for those who followed. A shelter of weathered wood, redolent oil, hammered metal and implacable rock.
Held in the many quickened hearts of that rough-hewn fortress awaits the keys to the Reconstruction. Waiting to be found. Waiting to be gathered.

Page Two

These keys lie scattered, but these titans took us there and continue to transport us.
They travelled the silvery arrows of North, South, East and West.
They showed us grand sites and grand sights.
They made us live and die in this world of iron and steel. I walk amongst giants.
But even a Goliath has its David. The hand of The Grin, that twisted black and evil ghoul, guided these forces and forced the guides. Brim with his venomous mechanical monstrosities even stepped in the path of these Quest Steeds. Biohazard would fell a warrior in his tracks with a vile burst of poison; cancerous actions and corrosive weapons. But for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. For every evil there is a good. For every step backwards I will take two steps forward. And each step will be guided by good men and women who favor the Knights of The Lady of the Lake.

Skid rides by my side, a reliable and worthy partner. I am aided by Always, a frightening and beautiful seer. I am supported by Jack, a bright, blasted hammer blow in the face of evil.
We follow the crumbs, the trickling clues, the faded paths of The Stones.
The Stones.
A fragmented delusion of sanctuary. Or perhaps, a salvation. With these stones I will assemble the vessel. A home, a source of power, a solution.
We live in a Projectile World filled with sudden death. These stones would Reconstruct our shield.

Page Four

I shall not cease from my Quest or Fight. Nor shall this potential long sleep in my hand.
I carry this burden with the hope and vision that the time nears when we can bring back the greatness that was. A time before corruption, greed, and power-hungry men. A time of freedom.
Freedom of spirit and heart. Freedom from these Wasted Lands.

Page Five

This sword, not lightly drawn, shall not again be sheathed until the stone is reassembled. No matter the cost, no matter the time, this task will be completed. I was chosen to complete it.
With this sword, things must change. Will change.

Page Six

I do not carry this burden lightly. This heavy metal.
