CHILDREN'S STORIES

'The time has come,' the Walrus said,
'To talk of many things:
Of shoes - and ships - and sealing wax -
Of cabbages - and kings -
And why the sea is boiling hot -
And whether pigs have wings.'

-Through The Looking Glass, Lewis Carroll

Welcome to a realm rich in imagination and silliness!

Those are two of the most critical elements in creating a children's story. I strive to fill my stories with intriguing images, lush landscapes, familiar characters, silly situtations and lyrical language. Children love to laugh, and laughter makes it easier to pass along a valuable message.

My children's stories span a wide range of worlds:
Deep in the ocean a young mermaid, Nerissa, is faced with a dilemma . . . wild jungles, speeding race cars and a stealthy submarine populate the fantasies of Dangerous Dan, a shy little boy. . . Bucky, wishing dogs could pull Santa's sleigh, travels from sunny climes to the frozen north . . . a rhinocerous must figure out how to keep her garden alive during an African drought.

Deserts, mountains, oceans and jungles. Shy boys, courageous girls, daring dogs and frolicking fairies. All of these wonderful elements, and more, fill my children's books.

Have a look at a couple of these stories.
