| This was another watercolor painting made as a Christmas gift. The watercolor dyes I used for this painting were new to me at the time, and I was unaware that the colors were not light-fast. Over the past few years, the magentas and yellows have gradually faded, dimming the intensity of the colors, and causing the figure to pale. In time, I expect that the artwork will vanish completely, as if made from invisible inks. A hard lesson to learn about paints . . . !
